Tila Tequila Recovered – Addictions and Emotional Issues Fixed

Tila Nguyen much better known by the name Tila Tequila claims to be sober and ready to for a fresh start. After noticeable scars and marks on her wrists were reported in the press, the star claimed she woke up with blood gushing down her arms from cuts she says were made by her alter-ego, “Jane.”

“That’s when I realized, OK, I have a problem,” Tila said.

Tell me – when you have a supposed alter-ego that cuts you up and you are addicted to drugs do you think that maybe you’d already know you have a problem?

Thanks to her doctor and therapist, the star was able to overcome her addictions and emotional issues during what she said was the lowest point in her life. Her emotional struggles came on top of the death of her reported fiancee, Casey Johnson, early last year.

“I have my doctor and my therapist and throughout all of last year I went constantly,” she said. “I got sober.”

And with her new sobriety comes a new name. She’s ditching her “Tequila” moniker that was made famous on MTV’s ‘A Shot of Love with Tila Tequila’ for something a little more normal.

She plans to legally change her last name to “Wynn,” which is variation of the pronunciation of her real surname, Nguyen.

Does anybody believe that if you have an alter-ego, ‘Jane’ who cuts you up, that a year of talk therapy can cure you?
