Soap Opera All My Children Cancelled?

Sad news for All My Children fans the soap opera might get the axe today. No official announcement has been made yet. The long-running soap opera is reportedly suffering from low ratings and it may be on the way out. The soap opera has been around since 1970.
e show finished last in the important demographic of women 18-49. It was watched by 463,000 people in that group, a drop of 34% against a year ago. The soap also finished last in total viewers, accounting for 2.32 million.
If ABC cancels the show it will mark the end of an era.

Now is the time for “All My Children” to come to end of its production! The plot has become weak and the storyline is aweful because the writers keep repeating the scenes. For example, how many times is the character Kendell going to almost die? How many times will the Character David Hayward be risen from the dead? How many times will the main characters break the law, for example Jesse, Kendall, Madison, Erica, David, etc, but do not suffer the consequences? How many times will characters just pop up in Pine Valley, at the right time, seemingly from nowhere whenever they are needed?…and so on and so on. All the actors who played power characters are either retired or deceased. Susan Lucci playing Erica is okay, but Susan Lucci playing Erica the Matriach is not working out. Erica’s character is too whimsical to portray the matriach of the show. Recently, having new actors playing old roles, bring in additional new characters, and changing the video at the beginning of the show make it difficult to really identify the show as being “All My Children.” This show has ran its course and what is presently being portrayed is just plain silly and uneventful. I see why many viewers have stopped watching the show. “ALL MY CHILDREN’ SHOULD BE CANCELLED!
I love AMC. I watch it every day and when I have to miss it, I make sure to catch it on the Soap channel in the evening. The time slot must be the problem, nit the show itself. Just change the time to prime time evening when more people are home to see it. Big Mistake to cancel it.
Bullshit……I have been watchin this show since elementary school and it took me on thru college and the present….I am currently 54 and still watch or record faithful ly…..this would truly been upsetting to myself and many loyal viewers……..Please dont do this!!
