Jennifer Lopez Reveals Daughter’s Health Scare: “I Thought She Was Going To Die”

Jennifer Lopez is living the dream, she has a multi-million dollar contract to judge on American Idol, a successful music career and a 24-year old boyfriend, Casper. But life wasn’t always as happy as it may be now because back in 2008, a lump was found on her daughter, Emme‘s head which needed emergency treatment.

Lopez, who hasn’t spoken out about the incident until this week, was so scared that she thought Emme was going to die. She also adds that if she didn’t have the money to get the medical care her daughter needed, she probably wouldn’t be here today:

I just remember that feeling of, ‘Something is wrong with that baby and I’m gonna die’. I remember looking at Marc and going, ‘We should call the doctor’. I started panicking a little bit and he was panicking, too, because…we were thinking, ‘Did somebody drop her when we weren’t looking? I just remember looking at him and saying, ‘If Emme’s not going to be okay, I’m not going to be okay’. He’s like, ‘I’m not going to be okay – none of us are going to be okay’.

On the thought of not being able to pay for the treatment:

I started to wonder – what if I couldn’t afford a doctor, or receive the medicines, the procedures?” she revealed a year after the twins were born
