Ja Rule Is Loving His Time In Prison, Says: ‘It’s An Amazing Place To Be’

Hmm, is this what teenage boys are going to look up to? Spending their lives in prison after they read how rapper, Ja Rule, loves spending time in prison. But, before you jump to defense – it might not be for the reason that you’re thinking.

Ja Rule, real name Jeffrey Atkins who was found guilty of gun possession and tax evasion back in 2010 has said to nydailynews that the people he meets in prison are nothing like the people you meet in the outside world, adding that he’s definitely made friends for life.

Speaking on what’s been like in prison: “Outside, you don’t meet guys like this every day. This place is amazing.”

Speaking on the benefit of having disgraced US politician Alan Hevesi and business tycoon Dennis Kozlowski in his cell: “Koz [Dennis] just got out on work release. Not to say I wish he was still here. But they’re both great, smart guys. I was studying for my GED and Koz came in and talked to me and said, if you need any help, let me know.”

The rapper who once had a career a hip-hop artist could only dream of at the time – consecutive number 1 hits with Always On Time and a staggering platinum-selling albums – is not expected to leave jail til AT LEAST 2013 but has been granted to community service whilst in jail.
