Steven Tyler Doesn’t Understand Why People Didn’t Like His Version Of The National Anthem

Steven Tyler is in as much shock as we are. Sure, it wasn’t the best but certainly not the worst either (points at Christina Aguilera). Tyler is said to be having mixed feelings about people who have been bashing his version of the National Anthem that he performed last week.

Steven spoke out on The AP to address it for once and for all: “I don’t know [why people complained]. As I said before, I put emphasis on, ‘In the land of the free’ and I went up. Oddly enough I hit the note so I don’t know what they are talking about. I emphasised ‘free’ which was for freedom. It was well thought out prior to. I wasn’t messing with American tradition.”

Steven’s version definitely was out of control and crazy yet we LOVED it. He’s a rockstar, not a popstar who tries to copy other artists’ rendition of the anthem so the big deal that fans are making about it is absolutely ridiculous. Jason Whitlock said the following on FOX: “Steven Tyler far more obscene than Janet Jackson’s t*tty.”
