Bill Condon, the director of Breaking Dawn: Part One and Two recently opened up to Entertainment Weekly and put his two cents in with regards to Kristen Stewart’s cheating scandal with her Snow White and the Huntsman director Rupert Sanders.
While every other Twilight cast member has kept mum over the affair, which as it happens ripped the heart out of not only Robert Pattinson but also every Twi-Hard fan out there – Bill didn’t hold back. And it might not be what you expected.
“The fact is, these are actors playing parts, and maybe it’s not such a bad thing that people be reminded of that, both of these actors gave heart and soul to the Twilight movies, not only during shooting, but also by navigating so graciously the whole life-in-a-fishbowl aspect of the phenomenon.”
“Above all they have always shown great respect for the fans who made these movies such a success. Now its time that some of that respect be returned to them,” he said.
Well obviously Kristen’s ‘indiscretions’ aren’t going to affect the last installment of the franchise – this is a given. But respect Kristen? This might be tough for me. I’m just throwing it out there. I do commend him for speaking out in light of all the negative attention in the media. Sure she cheated, but they are human (or are they??) and young ones at that. Plus, this might give me hope that if Rob reads Bill’s statement he just may forgive Kristen and they will reunite and live together happily ever after with lots and lots of vampire – I mean human – babies. I will settle for godmother if I must. Everyone makes sacrifices…
